Job Summary
The Marketing Director is a senior level, strategic position responsible for shaping and leading Impression's global B2B marketing strategy, driving significant expansion, and enhancing our competitive positioning. Reporting directly to and working in partnership with the Commercial Director, this role is crucial to accelerating the business's international growth ambitions, specifically targeting new market entry, such as the US.
The primary focus will be to create and execute a global marketing strategy that delivers a high-value, sustainable pipeline of opportunities for the Growth Team. This position requires deep expertise in B2B marketing, market positioning, performance marketing, and proven leadership in a fast-paced agency environment.
Core Responsibilities

Global Strategy & Positioning: Define and own Impression's global B2B marketing strategy, positioning, and narrative to ensure market competitiveness and relevance in core and new markets, with a critical focus on US market entry and growth.
Business Proposition Development: Partner with the Leadership Team to continuously refine and shape Impression’s service offering, product proposition, and pricing structure to ensure the business remains competitive, innovative, and aligned with global market demands.
Pipeline & Revenue Generation: Establish a world-class demand generation engine, accountable for a demonstrable track record of growing the marketing-attributed pipeline for the B2B business and consistently hitting ambitious targets.
Market Intelligence & Competitiveness: Maintain expert knowledge of the global performance marketing landscape, key competitors (especially in new markets), and ongoing market shifts, advising the Leadership Team on strategic pivots and investment decisions.
Thought Leadership & Authority: Ensure Impression is positioned as a leading global strategic growth partner through high-level industry contributions, award wins, and published thought leadership (whitepapers, webinars) tailored for a global B2B audience.
Team Leadership & Operational Excellence
Leadership: Act as a true leader, demonstrating and sharing global marketing expertise and strategic foresight to the wider business, and direct reports.
Team Development & Structure: Own the development and growth of the Marketing Department. This includes ensuring the team is structured, resourced, and budgeted to meet global strategic goals and consistently developing team members into high-performing B2B marketers.
Budget Ownership: Create, own, and report against the global marketing budget, ensuring maximum value and profitable return on investment for all marketing expenditure across all operational territories.
Inter-Departmental Influence: Influence and hold the wider management team and department heads accountable for aligning their service roadmaps and marketing activities with the core global strategy and brand standards.
Talent Attraction: Work closely with the People Director to champion Impression's employee value proposition globally, supporting the attraction of high-quality, international talent.
